Today, Alicai took another big step forward — both behind the scenes and on the surface.
The infrastructure.
The goal: allow Alicai to generate websites on subdomains like boulangerie.alicai.app.
Learned that wildcard DNS was a paid feature, so we pivoted
→ From wildcard logic to generating each subdomain on demand, making the system more flexible and scalable for the future — including support for custom domains
Installed and configured WordPress Multisite on masterfree.alicai.app
Moved DNS to FreeDNS, cleaned up old entries, and tested IP redirection
On the creative side:
- We wrote the homepage voiceover text for Alicai’s intro video
- We generated the matching visuals to create a first magical video prototype
- We created a visual diagram to explain the DNS setup and subdomain logic — this will help onboard new contributors and partners faster
Finally, we began drafting the base site template that every new user site will clone — starting with a cover section, two media blocks, and a clean menu structure with custom hooks.
Tomorrow: we move from structure to automation — letting Alicai truly “breathe” on its own.
